KUTNA HORA

The trip to Kutna Hora from Prague was by train, taking about one hour to travel the 120 km. The train arrives at Kutna Hora main station, with a transfer to local train to travel the 4 km to Kutna Hora Mesto. I understand there is a bus if i missed the local train. The trip can be done has a day trip , but i was staying overnight in hotel.----Kutna Hora is a medieval city in Central Bohemia Czech Republic. It is called the "National Treasure", silver was found here in the 10th century. The town began with a Sedec Abbey in 1142 AD, the first Cistercian Monastery in Bohemia.--- The Prague Groshen , a silver coin was minted here between 1300 and 1548 AD.-----I visited the Cathedral of St. Barbara a lovely Late Gothic style cathedral.----An interesting place is the Sediec Ossury in the Chapel of All Saints, just a little way from the city centre. This church is famous has the place of Human Bones. Human bones have been made into designs , well worth a visit. ( if on a daytrip by train the Ossury is first stop from Kutna Hora main station ).---- The city centre has good tourist signs.--- The Tourist Office is in Palaciceho Nam.
